When I was 8 years old my Aunt gave to me a small clay pot of purple pansies. I loved those flowers and my Aunt. As I grew older she could make me laugh harder than anyone else. She was always 100% authentic.
Not everyone appreciated my Aunt the same way I did. Some people criticized her when she laughed a bit loudly. Some felt sorry for her because her life was not always easy.
Some people will say to me when they are looking for a job, “But Jane, we have to play by their rules if we want to survive in business.”And I respond with the questions, “Whose rules and which business?”
There are almost 8 billion people in the world and nearly 32 million businesses in the USA alone.
What if instead of trying to fit into a business where you feel you need to stifle your personality you find a job where people appreciate you when you are being your most authentic self?
