Sara knows that she wants a job where she can have a huge impact, where politics take a back seat to getting something accomplished for people with a real need and where she can collaborate with a group of smart, energized people to get things done. However, she’s having trouble nailing down exactly what problem she wants to solve and who she wants to serve.
At one point in our coaching she stops and without hesitation says, “What I really want to do is to work on a big problem like the vaccination distribution.” Two days later I receive a text from Sara. She has received an unsolicited call asking if she is interested in working on a vaccination distribution strategy. The following Monday she starts her new job. Wow!
It may seem like luck, but my experience is that when people make a clear, confident decision about what they really want, the doors of opportunity open up.
What decision are you sitting on?
