On April 12th, 1961 Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first person in space. A month later Alan Shepard became the first US citizen in space. Sunday, November 15, 2020 SpaceX paved the way for more people to travel into space.
Before space craft it was airplanes. Before airplanes it was trains. Before that ships sailed around the world.
Of course, there are logical reasons for exploring such as the expansion of resources, or protecting our future.
But what about curiosity? How long have people looked up at the sky, out at the ocean or down a road and wondered, what is out there? How old were you the first time you ventured out of your yard just to see what there was to see?
Curiosity creates a desire to step out of our comfort zone, to take risks. It opens our mind to new possibilities. It gives birth to creativity. Without curiosity the world can feel flat.
What are you curious about?
