It was the middle of a Dale Carnegie class on leadership and communication. We had been told that there would be a substitute instructor that night. Suddenly the door to the classroom flew open and a man ran to the front of the room, jumped up on a chair and encouraged us to get out of our chairs and join him in an exuberant warm up exercise.
The rest of the class was more of the same. Peoole were energized by this instructor’s presence.
The next class we found out something about the substitute instructor that surprised everyone. He was 75. No one could believe it. He had more energy and more charisma than we expect from someone that age.
There is a saying that age is not a number, it’s an attitude.
What attitude have you chosen for yourself today?
