Cheryl was talking about what she enjoys about her work as a leader. She said that she works with interesting people, gets to solve interesting problems and make an impact. No one tells her what to do and she always has a seat at the table.
On the surface that sounds like an ideal job. And yet we had started our conversation with her saying, “I don’t know what I want.”
Sometimes we get wrapped up in the ‘doing’ of our work that we lose sight of our being.
The good news is that no matter what we sense may be missing in our lives is not missing in ourselves. We can always bring the missing piece to the surface and discover a way to integrate it into our life.
