Kara and I were having a conversation about writing and I suggested that she may have the cart before the horse. What does that phrase even mean?
Let’s say the cart is filled with everything you would love to have in your life. Maybe the cart contains a job where you are making an impact. The cart could have money to put in your bank. The writers cart could be filled with blogs or books they have written.
What is the horse? The horse is the energy that moves the cart. Let’s say we’ve put the horse behind the cart. The horse is going to need to push hard to move that cart forward. But if the horse is in front then it can much more easily pull the cart forward.
How do we know if we have the cart before the horse? By the way it feels. Does it feel like you’re having to push to get things done or that life is hard or does it feel like you are being pulled forward with ease through life?
Do you have your cart or your horse first?
